Following the promotion of one of our Statisticians, The Welsh Cancer
Intelligence & Surveillance Unit has a vacancy for a Statistician/
Research Officer. The successful candidate will work as part of the
Statistical Team based in central Cardiff and play an important role in
the provision of statistics for All Wales cancer publications, responses
to the Unit’s request and analysis service which includes information for
the Welsh Assembly Government and all Wales statistical reports for a
variety of purposes including Clinical Audit and Service Planning.
Applicants should hold a first degree or equivalent experience in maths or
mathematical related subject experience of medical statistical analysis
would be an advantage.

The salary range quoted is an incremental band. The successful applicant
will be appointed to the base point of the salary band unless an
incremental credit application is made by the Appointing Manager.
