LANCASTER POSTGRADUATE STATISTICS CENTRE - MSc in STATISTICS
I am pleased to announce that grants are available to support students
on the MSc course in Statistics at Lancaster University for 2008-09.
Four grants have been awarded to the course by the EPSRC, and one grant
by AstraZeneca: the course is also eligible for grant support from
GlaxoSmithKline. Each grant will cover tuition fees and a stipend for
living costs. The EPSRC grants are available for UK students and the
AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline grants for students from any country
within the EU (including the UK).
The MSc in Statistics is designed for students who have already
completed a degree including a substantial element of mathematics and
statistics, and is designed as a preparation for a career as a
professional statistician or for proceeding to study for a PhD. The
programme includes pathways in Medical Statistics, Environmental
Statistics and (new in 2008-09) in Pharmaceutical Statistics.
