Fixed term for two years in the first instance
We are seeking an experienced Statistical Geneticist/ Genetic Statistician to join the Diabetes Epidemiology and Pharmacogenetics Research group within the School of Medicine. The purpose of this post is to implement genetic epidemiological studies being conducted by the group. The post holder will be expected to be knowledgeable about methods commonly used in genetic epidemiology including working with the HapMap, design of genotyping strategies, analysis of whole genome association studies, methods for imputing genotypes, dealing with population structure and to have good data management and data manipulation skills.
A degree in a numerate discipline or genetics and experience of data analysis are essential.
