the Smith & Nephew Outcomes Research team based in Hull.
Statistical Programmer
Smith and Nephew Wound Management, Hull
Salary: £25 - £35k plus benefits.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Outcomes Research team
based in Hull. The main purpose of the role will be to develop SAS programs
for clinical data management and statistical reporting of clinical study
data. Applications are invited from both experienced SAS programmers and
from graduates with the relevant qualifications.
In this role you will be responsible for :
• Programming for clinical trials data processing. The main
programming and macro applications are validation checks in the area of
clinical data management, and analysis datasets, tables and graphics in the
area of statistical reporting.
• Making a major contribution to the development of our statistical
reporting systems, leading team objectives in programming applications.
• Ensuring reliable study data processing through a sound
understanding of the study protocol and patient data.
• Improving the efficiency and quality of data validation and
statistical reporting processes.
You will need:
• A qualification in computing, mathematics or statistics with a
substantial computing content including programming languages and/or
statistical software applications.
• It is desirable, but not essential for you to have demonstrable
knowledge of programming within SAS.
• In addition to your knowledge, you will be able to demonstrate
sound organisational skills, and have a track record for delivery in a team
environment. In addition, you will have a keen eye for detail with
excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
