JOB: Associate Director Biostatistics

This mid size pharmaceutical company is strong in the development of new products in diabetes, oncology, immunology and CNS and they are a powerhouse in cardiovascular and anti-infectives. This company have created a truly global working environment dedicated to investing in R&D.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Biostatistics you will work independently in the UK to collaborate globally to ensure worldwide acceptance of statistical design and analyses. This role is dedicated to the phase I stage of drug development and has no direct line reports.
Key aspects of the role include acting as a statistical consultant in regulatory and clinical forums, serve as Project Biostatistician to ensure accuracy of all statistical analyses, ensure timelines and deliverables are met, act as a statistical consultant to Senior Management and establish novel statistical study designs and methodologies for enhancing early stage decision making.
With a PhD or MSc you must demonstrate significant pharmaceutical industry experience; full knowledge of advanced statistical analytical methods, clinical trial research, regulatory requirements, coding techniques, and statistical software. Other competencies include excellent written and spoken English, project planning skills, demonstrated experience in analysing clinical trial data and working well within team framework.
