Clinisys / iSoft probably in 'most market share' group - ?? best UK service fit. Within them various varieties of system due to mergers etc - therefore depends on 'current offering'
Cerner a big contender because of CfH lever in South and London
Technidata still in the field
CoPath - Misys - working in Histopath
New kids on the block - StarLims - currently implementing in all UK genetics labs
Possibly others around - TripleG seem to have disappeared.
We are probably in for a serious period of change driven by:
Whatever Carter recommends.
The integration of LIMS with Robot controllers for tracking
The potential consolidation of disciplines towards - blood sciences and specialisms.
New testing modalities
Possible consolidation of screening centres
Use of POCT and community testing
Whether anything in the market fits that bill would be open to debate.
I am currently working on a potential 'Pathology IT Summit' Meeting for the autumn. Biggest challenge I see is having the skills and staff capacity to take on new systems / ways of delivering the IT agenda.
I'll keep you all posted as it develops

Subject: LIMS systems
Hi all
Does anyone have any information about who are the current market leaders in LIMS's for UK labs?
Gratefully received if so!
Thanks
Mike
