I've witnessed "literary performances" by everyone listed except Craig Dworkin. and each was at
least stimulating, if not stunning or hysterically funny. Poetry didn't compete very well
intellectually with Conceptual & Post-Conceptual Art in the sixties and seventies, and it's
intriguing to witness this attempt at this time. Brion Gysin's famous statement comes to mind.
Hadn't seen a word about this symposium before your post, Peter; I might have applied to be a
respondent, but am reluctant to make the effort with that March 4 deadline staring me down.
