The LaTeX from SST needs some manual crafting to produce the required
typography. At one time I had the tex files that were then assembled
into the SUN at build time. Now when a task's documentation is revised,
I just edit SUN/55 or SUN/95 accordingly. So yes the doc/ directory can
go. I'd forgotten that it was there.
The application help from PROHLP can be used directly, and should be
built on the fly as it is. However, there are a few additional help
files needed as well. I think the required ones are in the top level,
but there might be the odd one in help/ that's still relevant. I'd have
to check before removing help/ from the repository. There are certainly
several tutorial help files missing from KAPPA compared with a decade
ago.

No.

Don't know. I still use KAPRH occasionally.
