Brighton and Sussex Medical School seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Research
Fellow in Psychiatry within the Division of Clinical Medicine in the field
of neuroimaging and autonomic psychophysiology.
‘Mechanisms underlying psychological and physical morbidity’
This full-time post is within a research group with interests covering the
clinical, neuroimaging and psychophysiological investigation of brain-body
interactions and their influence on anxiety states and cardiovascular and
neurological symptoms. The post-holder will work with a range of techniques
including functional and structural neuroimaging autonomic monitoring and
near infrared spectroscopy to examine healthy subjects and patient groups.
The successful applicant is anticipated to have robust methodological
skills and ideally neuroimaging experience.
The post holder will also be required to contribute to the day-to-day
running of Professor Hugo Critchley’s laboratory and assist in supervising
of undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
