Call for papers - Problem Structuring Methods Stream
OR50 - The 50th Annual Conference of the Operational Research Society, University of York, UK
9-11 September 2008
Keynote: Jonathan Rosenhead has confirmed the title of his Keynote presentation: "What can PSMs learn from 'hard' OR?"
CfP: We are interested in papers on all aspects of Problem Structuring Methods in particular we welcome papers in the following areas;
· The interface between PSM's and "Hard" OR
· Expanding the portfolio of currently recognised PSMs.
· New directions for PSM research and theory development.
· Analysing and critiquing PSMs from other fields.
· Evaluating the process(es) of PSMs.
· Evaluating the role of the PSM facilitator.
· What happens after problem structuring? The implementation of actions.
· Embedding PSMs, and PSM skills, within an organisation's processes or toolkit.
· New and potential/future developments of existing PSMs.
This is the 50th Anniversary OR Society conference, making this a special event and hopefully particularly well represented in all streams of OR. Abstracts can be submitted via the ORS website.http://www.theorsociety.com<http://www.theorsociety.com/>
Submissions need to be made by 15th April 2008 to ensure inclusion in the Invitation Programme. Normally each presentation will last no more than 20 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions. Written papers are not required.
