Dear lis-link readers
I wanted to draw your attention to another specialist discussion list,
lis-e-journals, which covers issues relating to the provision and
management of all e-resources (despite the name!).
It's managed by the UKSG and run by two librarians with extensive
experience at the 'sharp end' of e-resource management (myself and
Lesley Crawshaw from the University of Hertfordshire), although we
welcome and encourage discussions and posts from all our publisher,
librarian, and subscription agent members both here in the UK and
overseas. Feedback received from members about this list has confirmed
its usefulness in raising, discussing, and resolving any issue relating
to e-resource management - whether a problem with a particular
publisher, the exchange of information about new initiatives and
content, or just initiating a forum where members can network and air
their views.
You can sign up or view recent discussions at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/lis-e-journals.html and find out more
about its aims and scope at http://www.uksg.org/serials#lis-e-journals.
Lesley and I look forward to welcoming you to the list, which currently
has over 1,700 members.
Best wishes
Louise
