Looking through some feeds this made me smile:
"Publishers Communication Group (PCG) has been selected by the
Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and its subsidiary Thomas Telford
Publishing, to manage its relationships and increase penetration in the
North American library market"
The Virtual Library is a great product, but management as yet isn't a
strong feature.
In the UK I've been trying to get usage for ICE for a couple of years.
We've had (still have) so much trouble with the ICE virtual Library. The
publisher now concedes:
"basically the site needs to be rebuilt, with just a single entry point
for all content for users, not the 3 ways in there are now (Atypon, TT
main site, icevirtuallibrary.com site). We are specifying this rebuild
now, and will be looking to have a single replacement site available by
the end of the year, probably following the icevirtuallibrary.com look
and feel, but without the extreme frustration."
Stats come from Atypon, but not at all sure what's counted at TT or
icevirtuallibrary.com
C.
