If you want to install FSL inside the VMware Player, it needs to be there ;-)
There is two means of getting it there: 1) download it onto the
Windows Desktop and then drag and drop it inside the WMware Player or
2) download it inside the WMware Player (open firefox webbrowser
inside Centos (blue globus symbol on the top) directly to the Centos
desktop.

In order to access your data you need to define a "shared folder" for WMvare.
Go to the VMware button (in the blue bar) => shared folders and
there check "always enabled. Then click on the "Windows" symbol and
browse your data folder. (it is recommended to choose as less as
possible in order to avoid double data access on the same folder from
the two OS. You also can give it a name under which it will appear
inside the linux file system (it will be under
/mnt/hgfs/your_name_folder).

Just plug them (e.g. USB key or external drive). They will
automaticlly appear on the Centos desktop and you will find them under
/media.
Hope this helps!
