The Oxford Health Services Research Unit (HSRU) is currently looking
for a Medical Statistician to join its multi-disciplinary team. This
is an exciting opportunity for a medical statistician to join an
established Unit and to develop their statistical skills by contributing
to a number of interesting projects. The statistician will be required
to support and advise researchers in the Unit in the statistical aspects
of their work and to provide some statistical support to health care
professionals in the region. In addition there will be the opportunity
for the post-holder to develop their own programme of research in
collaboration with others, and also to obtain teaching experience by
providing statistical support to students studying for the MSc in Global
Health Science.
The post will be based at the Department of Public Health, with one day
a week spent working with colleagues at the University Department of
Psychiatry providing support to the Centre for Research on Eating
Disorders and Obesity (www.psychiatry.ox.ac.uk/credo).
The post is offered full-time for 3 years and is available
immediately.
