A couple of questions just to make sure I have something clear in my mind
and that i have my procedures correct.
I've just taken over a contract and have come across a few discrpancies
from what I would normally do.
Lung Function Test/Spriometry should be undertaken annually for those
dealing with respiratory hazards. Only a previous OH Doctor has advised
that an individual who deals with substances on a Road Gang should have it
done every 2 years. Am I mistaken about my normal Health Surveillance
Programme?
HAVS - If someone has been diagnosed with HAVS stage 1, the next
assessment/screening is done and changes are noted (HAVS Level 3/4
assessment repeated by Doctor), review with Level 3/4 assessment advised
at 6 months. I would usually undertake an indepth questionnaire, when the
review date is advised, and would only repeat the HAVS Level 3 assessment
if further changes are noted. Have I got this wrong?
I would apprechiate any advice.
Many thanks
Clare
