International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship, and is now inviting
submissions for potential publication in the inaugural volume which will
be published in 2009.
Edited by Colette Henry, Head of Department of Business Studies and
Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Research at Dundalk Institute
of Technology, Ireland, the International Journal of Gender and
Entrepreneurship is a new academic journal which aims to facilitate the
natural evolution of the field by drawing together the very best research
contributions on gender and entrepreneurship from around the world.
The Journal will publish:
• Well-written, scholarly articles of intellectual rigour with a
theoretical and practical relevance
• Practical teaching cases and practitioner reviews to enable those active
in the field as researchers, educators, support personnel and policy
makers to keep up to date with the field on an international level
• Papers that platform the work of dynamic young researchers and those who
are in a position to offer new perspectives on this particular research
area.
Potential topics, as discussed in the context of gender, may include:
• Entrepreneurship
• Business ownership and self employment
• Femininity/masculinity and entrepreneurial behaviour
• Business management and strategy
• Economics
• Venture capital
• Internationalization and marketing
• Corporate entrepreneurship.
Articles should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words in length.
