Thanks Dale, that's welcome and timely.
In parallel, and complementary, Sonia O'Connor and I have discussed with
an on-line journal the production of a much extended and heavily
illustarted version of the pair of papers on hard tissue structure,
identification and degradation that we wrote for UKIC many years ago.
The original papers are still cited (and even read), despite their
antiquity, and we thought it would be timely to use the great range of
e-publication techniques to bring the topic up to date. Marloes
Rijkelijkhuizen's book would be based on the excellent work that she has
been doing on material from the Netherlands, which includes a remarkable
range of raw materials.

etc
Dear All,
Marloes Rijkelijkhuizen recently posted this message on the Bone Tools
list. I thought that ZOOARCH members would also be interested in an
identification manual for bone, antler, ivory, horn, etc.
