i raised an issue concerning autophotom last year. it was a problem with
the curfit routine. the very latest release also has this problem compared
with 2 releases ago (i think feb/march 2007). i'm afraid i was very slack
in not getting round to providing any data etc with which to test this
bug. now since the new release also seems to have this problem i've put
two files on my web area:
http://www.arm.ac.uk/~gar/chip1_182.sdf
http://www.arm.ac.uk/~gar/ppositions.dat
when i run the new release i get
[gar@arpc59 sdf]$ autophotom chip1_182 ppositions.dat ttmp.out centro=true
search=10 maxshift=8 maxiter=20 toler=0.2 optima=true
808.11 2248.37 2.1509 2.0247 0.2656 OK 6.0 4.00
