Hi
I run SPM on windows XP, Dell 600m laptop (4 years old). It runs quite well so I imagine the newer
machines would be much faster. My advice is
1) RAM- minimum 2 GB, 4 if you can afford it.
2) Fast hard disk- I think the faster laptop hard disks are 7200 rpm, and you will probably want a
bigger disk for all the images so get at least 120 GB
other than that any of the current processers will be faster than what I have so I wouldn't worry
too much. Any midrange graphics card will work fine.
It runs on either windows or mac. I'm not sure how well matlab or spm runs on vista.
the only reason I buy dell is their completecare warranty
regards,
darren

Does anyone have experience running SPM on a Laptop? If so, are there any
configuration recommendations? Window's vs Linux, processor type, RAM etc.
Thank you.
