Subject: 10x10 - Free Workshop Where You Can Get Feedb ack For Your
Doc-In-Progress
PLEASE NOTE: NEW FORMAT!"
10x10 is a free workshop hosted by the Documentary Filmmakers Group
and Doculink where filmmakers can screen up to ten minutes of their
work-in-progress and receive ten minutes of feedback from the group.
There is a new format for our next event. Although we are still eager
to hear from filmmakers working on more traditional documentaries,
we're also especially interested in hearing from people who are
working on projects that play with the idea of what 'narrative non-
fiction' might be - ie, they don't strictly have to be documentary but
rather use real-life documentation at least in part to tell some kind
of story.
If you're interested in screening, please send an email with your
answers to these questions by Monday 18th February latest:
1) In no more than one short paragraph, describe your project.
2) What do you want to show? (Ie, a trailer/key scene/whole short film/
sequence/raw footage etc...)
3) What do you hope to gain from showing your project at this stage?
Our next event takes place on Monday 3rd March, 7.30 at DFG in Dalston.
Whether you want to come screen or just be one of the viewers at the
event, it's a great opportunity to gain support, get crucial feedback,
meet your peers and feel part of the independent London doc community.
It's also a rare chance to see what others are working on and gain a
hands-on perspective of what works, what doesn't and why. We'll be
continuing the conversation down the pub after the session.
Space is limited. If you would like to come along as a viewer, please
send an email to [log in to unmask] with 'Viewer' in the subject heading.
The original 10x10 format was created by Doculink, and has been
running since 2005 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, BC.
It's still quite a new thing here in the UK and is proving popular. If
it's going to work then we need YOU, the London doc community to get
involved!
When - Monday 3rd March, 7.30pm
Where - DFG, Dalston, London. Click here for location details.
