Dear All,
First all - congratulations to Rosalind for a wonderful review of her paper:
The Mentor's Use of Adult Learning Theory. You can read the ttrb review at
http://www.ttrb.ac.uk/viewArticle2.aspx?contentId=14059 and I will be
posting Rosalind's paper onto the Index page at http://www.TeacherResearch
very soon.
Secondly - congratulations to us all with regard to BERA's interest in a SIG
publication. Fifteen people have been in touch with me expressing interest
and the response from BERA is highly supportive. I have contacted SAGE and
RoutledgeFalmer and here are the links to relevant pages on their websites:

I am thinking of working towards publication ready for BERA 2009 - and
though that seems a long way off it isn't... it's comfortable for an edited
SIG book given how busy we are and how many of us are contributing to our
masterpiece!
I have copied BERA's reply so you all can share my delight at receiving this,
Best wishes,
Sarah
Dear Sarah Fletcher,
Thank you very much for your proposal. I do welcome this excellent idea.
BERA does not currently produce books of this kind ourselves, although I
shall take up the idea for possible pursuit in the future. I have discussed
your proposal with BERA Exec Director Jeremy Hoad, and SIGs portfolio holder
Professor Ian Menter: we suggest that you proceed with your idea, and when
the proposal is fully developed you might ask the BERA President to write a
foreword (and a note to that effect could be included in the proposal).
