Information Literacy Officer
This is a fixed-term post available until 30 September 2010.
This post will be key in promoting Information Literacy activities within the Library and the University as a whole. Working closely with Library Faculty Teams and academics, you will be delivering Information Literacy (IL) teaching integrated into the curriculum, and as part of the Library's programme of IL workshops, as well as developing learning resources for use by staff and students.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a professional qualification or substantial relevant experience, you will have extensive understanding of IL theory and practice. With excellent teaching and presentation skills, you will be confident in the use of IT - experience of using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and the development of e-learning materials would be an advantage. You will be able to work in a team environment, and also independently as needed, with a strong customer focus.
University Grade 6 (£22,332 - £26,666 p.a) or Grade 7 (£27,466 - £32,796 p.a) depending on experience.
