Hi Yvonne,
The CSOs and mentors are separate. CSOs are Career Development Group
officers who support and advise candidates about the process in
general-they run courses throughout the country and whilst it's not
compulsory to get in touch with them I would heartily recommend that you
do so.

Mentors fulfil a different role-and are compulsory.
Good luck with your chartership,

Subject: Chartership - a little confused (just a little - honest!)
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you would be able to answer two questions which I am
not
sure on.
Firstly, I am very new to the Chartership process. I have just started
to
gather my evidence and I am in the middle of finishing the first draft
of my
PPDP.
I was wondering if anyone knew if a Candidate Support Officer (CSO) is
the
same thing as a mentor? The registration letter mentions this and I
didn't
know if it was an additional requirement as well as signing up with a
mentor.
My second question is about the candidates key tasks and
responsibilities.
Would it be acceptable to have a bullet list with the tasks which are
preformed in the role?
Many Thanks for your help and comments in advance!
Yvonne.
