The Information Research Institute at Manchester Metropolitan University
invites applications from students wishing to undertake a programme of doctoral study.
We have a thriving research community, located within the Faculty of Humanities, Law and
Social Science, and support research in three thematic research clusters: Access to
Electronic Information;
Information Management;
Social Informatics.
The University is offering research studentships which will cover tuition fees and offer
an annual stipend in the region of 12,000 GBP. Studentships are normally held up to
three
years and the successful candidates will register initially for an MPhil/PhD degree
depending on qualifications.
