Dear Angie
Am forwarding the message below, as it might be of interest to you and to
your library networks. Given that the Choices team will be talking to
clinicians as well as patients, some issues may arise around access to
national information services, and their connectivity.
The choices team clearly have good capacity for customer insight, and if
there are any specific aspects that you would like to pick up from them
regarding feedback from clinicians, then please let me know. The pilot will
present findings back to the wider team at some stage, and any of your team
would be welcome to attend - I'll let you know when the dates for that are
confirmed.
Best wishes
Anne

Friends
I want to let you know that we are taking NHS Choices out to the wider NHS
and public starting from Monday.
What we are doing is running a London-wide pilot in 15 hospitals, initially
with an exhibition in foyers and canteens, then following up with meetings
with chief execs and their senior teams where possible.
In each location, two field marketing staff will be manning a Choices
exhibition with an internet link, and engaging directly with the public -
explaining what NHS Choices is and demonstrating the key features. They'll
be talking to clinical staff too.
The aim is to raise awareness, capture feedback and determine the best way
to use the exhibition. It's a pilot, so we are testing the whole set up. On
top of that we want to build relations and interest with hospital senior
teams.
If all this works then we'd like to scale-up and cover the whole of England
from April onwards.
Here are the hospitals - feel free to drop in to see how it's going.
