We access resources individually through the shibboleth to athens gateway
using this url:
http://auth.athensams.net/?ath_dspid=ATHENS&ath_returl=http://auth.athensams.net/trl/1.0/-/__SHORT_CODE__&id=urn:mace:eduserv.org.uk:athens:provider:guanxi.uhi.ac.uk&ath_action=shaauth
where __SHORT_CODE__ is the resource short code, such as EDINA.DIGIMAP
It takes users straight to the IdP's login page, bypassing the WAYF.
To let users add links in their part of the VLE or the library pages more
easily than typing that lot in, we provide a redirector service:
http://guanxi.uhi.ac.uk/athens?code=EDINA.DIGIMAP
which just generates the big url. That way we insulate users from the big
url changing.
I believe there's a list of short codes in your athens admin area.
