Assistant Information Specialist, Royal Free Hospital Medical Library, UCL
Library Services
£23,622 - £27,706 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. Full-time,
permanent.
You will assist the Information Support Services team to develop and expand
existing services. A substantial part of the post involves providing
information specialist support for the National Library for Health
Specialist Libraries for Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases and for
Neurological Conditions. The postholder will also contribute to a
comprehensive information skills training programme, assist in the delivery
of information services locally and participate in the staffing rota that
supports a busy issue / general enquiries desk.
You will be a professionally qualified graduate librarian with demonstrable
skills in finding, evaluating and using information, both printed and
electronic, and experience of delivering user focused customer services.
Excellent IT, written and oral communication skills, including experience in
giving presentations and of summarising complex information, are essential.
Up-to-date relevant experience of working in a health or medical library,
including issue desk experience, would be an advantage.
