Hi folks,
Got the enclosed from a list and I would much appreciate if anyone can help Erin.
My name is Erin Bolles and I am currently doing a Masters in Gender Studies at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. I am also a mental
health consumer. I am writing a paper for one of my classes on the impact of the welfare system on women's mental health. I am specifically interested in
how women with mental health problems find their psychic distress to be either exacerbated or helped by their situation of dependence on the state.
1..
Further, how is this whole process gendered?
2.. How is it different for women?
3.. What is the relationship between participation in Welfare and women's mental health?
4.. What kind of access, if any, do they have to meaningful, effective care?
Personal testimonies are welcome, as are links to articles, books, etc.
Please send all correspondence to my Yahoo account: [log in to unmask]
In support and solidarity,
Erin
