To all members of the Computer Arts Society elist:
The CAS management committee is recruiting new members and invites
you to volunteer. There is no need to live in the UK as this work
can be done from any location that has good internet access:
1. A Publicity Secretary. This person will be responsibly for the
Public Relations for the CAS and ensuring the society and its events
reach the widest international community via all media. Please
contact George Mallen [log in to unmask] if you are interested in this
opportunity.
2. A Membership Secretary. This person will maintain the membership
records of the CAS and work in collaboration with Paul Brown who
moderates the CAS e-list which composes our defacto membership
record. Some members pay a fee for printed copies of our bulletin
PAGE and the membership secretary will be responsible for updating
and maintaining records of our ordinary membership, paid members and
Honorary Life Members. Contact Paul for further information on

3. A Web Developer. This person will work closely with our Web
Master, Stephen Boyd Davis, to redesign and redevelop the CAS website
and also implement other internet-based initiatives like a blog and a

4. All members are invited to submit a design for the CAS 40
anniversary postcard. A artwork/design is invited for the front of
the card. The reverse (printed in B&W) will include the CAS
information, email and website as well as full credits to the artist/
designer (which may include contact details). The artist/designer is
also welcome to design the reverse but this is not necessary. We
expect that between 1-2000 cards will be printed and circulated at
arts events internationally during 2008. The artist/designer will
receive 100 copies for their own use. Contact Alan Sutcliffe
[log in to unmask] for further details and copies of the CAS 40
logo and other information for the reverse side of the card.
