ESDS SOCIAL HISTORY DATA MANAGER, UK Data Archive
The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint to a new post to provide strategic line-management for staff within ESDS Qualidata and the History Data Service. Applications are invited from suitable candidates with demonstrable relevant management skills, a background in the creative use of digital resources in any area of historical research and experience in setting standards across the data life-cycle, including data creation and analysis, metadata standards and documenting resource creation.
The successful candidate will have the breadth of knowledge required to co-ordinate and contribute to the running of workshops on data creation, management, digitisation, and the use of data in the broader field of social history. Candidates should have a postgraduate degree or equivalent in social science or history, with training in research methods.
