Colleagues,
I am writing a book chapter about Arthur Machen
and the Golden Dawn. I am wondering if anyone
has any insight in the mysterious "process" that
Machen admits to engaging in 1899. It led to
altered states of consciousness and what sounds
like Samadhi. I have some conjectures, but they
are nothing more than that. I know that he had
read Hargrave Jennings on 'phallicism,' and that
is leading me in a certain direction. Machen was
also initiated in the G.D. in Nov of 1899.
