Perhaps in the UK 'vilification' is not considered a violent offense?
Speaking of legal terms in Australia and the USA:
The legal term 'vilification', as used in the subject line of the
original post, comes under laws regarding assault and intimidation.
These are all considered, by law, violent offenses. Also, contrary to
popular belief, the term 'assault' does not involve 'battery.'
Assault, as defined by law, involves threat and intimidation.
