(apologies for cross-posting)
Hello all,
I'd be very grateful if anyone could share their experiences of running
summative online assessments at a distance, or suggest useful
sites/resources.
We are planning a new online course assessed by a combination of written
work and online MCQs (delivered using Blackboard or QuestionMark
Perception). There will be 20 students in the first cohort.
I'm concerned about the following:
* Invigilation/preventing cheating - does anyone have experience of
using external test centres or in-work supervision?
* Software/hardware/network/power failure - especially if not using a
test centre
I'm also interested in the alternative of using optical mark reader
sheets - easier to invigilate/harder to cheat and less to go wrong
technically?
Any advice/suggestions much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Sonya
