The Wales Transport Research Centre is seeking to appoint a Research
Assistant and Research Fellow to assist with the Centre’s expanding work.
The Centre aims to be at the forefront of academic and innovative
transport-related research and studies in Wales. Since its formation in
2001, it has carried out research for the National Assembly, local
authorities in Wales, First Group, Friends of the Earth and the House of
Commons. It has recently won several new contracts and is poised to move
forward into new research funding through the UK and the European Union.
The WTRC is leading the creation of a Collaborate Wales Transport Hub for
HEI’s in Wales
Both posts are on a fixed term 2 year contract. The Centre is seeking self-
motivated, committed individuals with interest and relevant appropriate
level of experience in transport research, operation, assessment, policy,
technical awareness or implementation who are able to assist with the
ongoing work and long–term development of the Centre; this will include
research, writing grant applications, producing reports and disseminating
results via academic and other forums.
