Dear Gavin,
Thanks that's great!
Yes - don't worry you are more than qualified.
We will need anyone who answers a Big Question to have a science related degree and work in the science industry in some form - but we are actually quite keen to have scientists answering Big Questions who work in wide range of different types of career (from science outreach to lab researcher to industry).
This way people who use the blog will not only learn the answers to Big Questions but should also learn about the diverse number of careers (and great events that go on) in science.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!
Kind regards,
Jenny

Dear Jenny,
Are you looking for any particular amount of qualifications experience here?
I have a a degree in astrophysics, a postgrad diploma in photonics and a couple years of biomedical physics research along with a strong interest in science and religion issues. I currently work at the University of Edinburgh.
If you think I might be suitable I'd be happy to help.
Cheers,
Gavin
