Narrative, Memory and Identities: an interdisciplinary approach
(Narrative & Memory Research Group - 8th Annual Conference)
The University of Huddersfield/Saturday April 12th 2008
Keynote Address: Professor Andrew C. Sparkes
(Director of the Qualitative Research Unit, University of Exeter)
'Testicle tales, sporting heroes, and narrative maps of illness'
This conference will be of interest to psychologists, sociologists and a wide range of health and social care professionals concerned with or interested in narrative and issues surrounding memory. Identity had been selected as an important area for narrative and memory analysis which raises a variety of theoretical and methodological issues such as:
* the narrative construction of identity(ies)
* narrative analysis and oral, written and visual representation
* discontinuities in narrative and identity
* types of narrative analysis
Call for papers
Submissions for papers are requested for the above day conference. Each session will comprise of 25 minutes for the presentation of the papers with 5 minutes for questions
Submission of Abstracts
