Yes. Access to Medical Records Act 1988.

That is a medical examination carried out on behalf of the insurance
company. It often isn't done by the patient's GP. The history is that
given by the patient during the examination. The doctor has a duty to
pass on any adverse findings in the physical examination to the
patient's GP. The doctor is asked not to discuss the findings with the
patient because his/her opinion may differ from the insurance
company's.
