Articles on Web 2.0 in the latest issue of Computer Weekly state that
according to a cross-industry survey, “more than 50% of executives see
protecting critical data as the main barrier to adopting Web 2.0
technologies, and 33% said not knowing how to measure the impact of the
technologies is the most serious challenge to implementing them across
their company”, and “only 28% had included Web 2.0 in their risk management
process”. It seems that although Web 2.0 is penetrating every aspect of our
life, it is often seen as a potential risk for security, which therefore
inhibits or blocks its further use.

aim to provide some answers for such questions as: when should a company
prevent employees using Web 2.0 in the workplace; how the company can
increase the positive value of Web 2.0 as a tool for developing business;
how to reduce the risk of losing crucial data.
