You don't seem to be reviewing R - surely R is now the premier free, open-source statistical environment? If you are unfamiliar with it, see http://www.r-project.org - there are lots of other resources all over the Net to help get a handle on R and compare it with other stats software (warning: it is difficult to google for the letter "R", which can make finding material on R tricky, but there are many links from the R web site).

Hi all

I'm preparing a review of free statistical programs
http://gsociology.icaap.org/methods/softsum.html

I've included epi info, and I wanted to check some points about it.

As far as I can tell, Epi Info doesn't have a menu command for getting
means of multiple variables, can only seem to get means for one variable
at a time.

Epi Info doesn't do correlation. You need to use regression with 2
variables to get the correlation coefficient.

Are these right?

Thanks
