Your replies are indeed getting through.
"WASH DC metro" is simply my shorthand for the District of Columbia
(Washington) and its metropolitan area. Of course, that it's "dirty" in so
many ways and could use a good "washing" is implied. "W(orst)" as the
primary referent of "W" isn't my invention--it's becoming part of the
vernacular here as Dubya attempts to trumpet his "legacy".
