David, I see your point and perhaps I could have been more polite but the list has already fulfilled its part in our plans.
The issues will all become a matter for public discussion as the web site is rolled out between now and Easter and those with an interest will be welcomed to contribute if they have anything constructive to add.
With regards the being barred from the list. We already have a contingency in place to ensure list members are not prevented from being kept informed by the well meaning list owner(s).

Dear Lucy
As a member of the mining history list I am interested in hearing about what is
happening at all sorts of mining sites and this includes where mismanagement of
funds and heritage resources is taking place.
I also agree that using the term "sicko" in a posting was inappropriate
I also agree with your later comment that "the discussion list is exactly the
right place for these views to be aired" especially if what you say is true
that it "does have a significant bearing on the preservation of and future
presentation of Mining History in the Tamar Valley and beyond".
Unfortunately - you lost all credibility when you sent your email referring to
people as "fat boy" "self interested bigots" & one person having his "head
stuck up his arse"
IF you have a genuine grievance (and you clearly feel you do) there are ways
and means of going about expressing it. I am sure you will soon be banned from
the list which will cut off one of these possibilities which is regrettable
both for you and your cause but sadly of your own doing.
Yours faithfully
David hardwick
