Sarah
We would be interested in contributing a chapter out of our Improving Coaching project. The aspect we are particularly working on at present is a self evaluation framework for teacher coaches, which also involves coding coaching conversations. We will be reporting on this at BERA if the symposium is accepted.
I guess timescale is a big factor for us.
Best wishes
David Leat

Subject: Mentoring and Coaching SIG publication - calls for interest
Dear All,
As many of you will already know I have nurtured a hope that we might
publish an edited collection of contributions on mentoring and coaching from
our SIG. Last year I approached BERA to ask for their support. They have
just recently replied. They would take a substantial interest in how the
book is produced and provide details of BERA in the introduction and I have
said that I will contact publishers when I know that we have sufficient
support to go ahead.
Drawing from the superb presentations at our SIG's seminars and calling for
indications of interest from our JISCmail lists for Mentoring and Coaching
and Teacher-Research as well as contacting he membership of our SIG by its
own circulation list could provide us with such a wealth of material with
great potential to publish. If you would like to become involved by
contributing an article for a chapter or have ideas to get this (very
worthwhile...) venture underway, please get in touch with me. Looking
forward to hearing from YOU,
Sarah
