INTRODUCTION TO QUALITATIVE INTERVIEWING
TRAINING COURSE
18th and 19th March 2008
Department of Primary Health Care, Oxford
AIMS OF THE COURSE
To introduce all course participants to theoretical and practical
aspects of qualitative interviewing.
To teach how to conduct an effective qualitative interview, with
particular emphasis on semi-structured and narrative interviewing
techniques.
To use practical exercises and small group work to give participants
confidence in the basic techniques and skills of qualitative
interviewing.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Everyone is welcome, irrespective of research background.
Anyone considering conducting qualitative interviews for a project or
study.
Researchers with an interest in qualitative research and interviewing.
WHAT WILL THE COURSE CONSIST OF?
There will be two full-time taught days 18th and 19th March 2008
WHAT WILL THE COURSE COST?
The course costs £325. This includes: tuition, lunch, tea, coffee and
teaching packs.
There are a few reduced fee places for fulltime unwaged students.
