medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I wouldn't say "full of" references--I have done some work on this, and
I have found exactly one such reference in the liturgy for the
dedication of a church. It occurs not in a prayer, but in a hymn, which
begins "Urbs beata Jerusalem, dicta pacis visio. . . " Don't have at
hand the reference to Analecta hymnica, but doubtless someone else can
