Hi Tiffany,
The SSAT teaching materials exchange can be found at:
http://www.schoolsnetwork.org.uk/Article.aspa?PageId=235330&NodeId=370
Alternatively, type Chinese Network into google and will come up
there!
Hope you and other teachers find it useful.

Dear Michelle Tate,
Thank you to let me know we can go to some website to view the
resourses. Would you like to tell me where I can find these resourses?
Many thanks,
Tiffany

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year!
Just informing you of some changes that have been made to the
materials exchange section of the SSAT Chinese Network, to make it
easier and quicker for you to find materials you're looking for.
The biggest change is the addition of a 'specifics to China' folder.
In here you can find mainly power points on Chinese culture,
geography,
history, currency, etc. and the basic introduction to the country and
language (for people trying to think of how to start their first
lessons.) There are some really good power points here, which will
save you a lot of time!!
The Chinese characters folder has examples of the root of characters,
basic strokes, radicals and types of characters.
In the Education, Training and Employment folder there are school
related flashcards, word searches, worksheets. These include
subjects,
places around school and school life.
In the other folders you can find worksheets, lists of vocabulary and
introduction power points to various topics.
The GCSE for Chinese folder has worksheets labelled by Unit in the
textbook. They are predominantly for book 1.
I'd like to thank Sophie Lawton (website designer at SSAT) for her
work in uploading and moving files around for me.
NEW MATERIAL
I'd like to make a request for new material, please. This site could
be amazing and save a lot of teachers a great deal of time with their
planning, but it depends on you, the users, to submit material. I
know there are lots of teachers out there who have made and are
developing a huge amount of wonderful teaching material. If you
don't
mind sharing some of it, we could all benefit. If you browse the
current materials and see that there is a gap in a topic area your
materials could fill, let me know.
Please send materials to me at [log in to unmask]
Thanks for your help.
