Hi,
I'm interested in hearing from any authorities who use or who have trialed
any form of prepayment scheme for AV loans. We know we are losing folk to
the Amazon DVD rental plans and would like to find out how we can woo them
back...!
Here's my idea: crackpot or could it work?
Borrower prepays £10 a month and is allowed unlimited free loans of DVDs for
the month (this might need revision - up to a maximum of 12, say) but only 2
free loans at a time. Throw in a few free reservations to increase choice
at no extra charge. I would hope this would boost library membership,
increase frequency of visits and also increase DVD income. But you may know
different - if you can spare a few minutes to share your experiences, it
would be much appreciated, and I'd be happy to summarise them for the list.
In addition, any use of direct debit systems, Paypal etc.
Regards,
Wendy
