Hello,
I'm sorry to disturb you on this very grey and wet friday afternoon (at least it is here!), I am currently a Graduate Trainee at Middlesex University and am looking to take an MA Library course probably the year after next although I am total;ly confused asd to which to apply for! I was wondering whether a course at somewhere like Aberystwyth or UCL was seen more highly as one taken at say Northumbria University of City University in London, because of the type of University or whether this didnt matter at all anymore? And also the merits of taking a more traditional Library Studies course with a module in Cataloguing and Classification versus a more Information based, such as Information Management with one lecture in Cat and Class and how this was seen in the library world? And also whether different Library jobs, ie something in the Law or Commercial sector or the academic sector are better suited to a course at a particular university?
Many Thanks
Nicola Feggetter
