Hi all,
there are some CA tests failing around, and we think we have identified
the problem.
Examples:
https://lcg-sam.cern.ch:8443/sam/sam.py?funct=TestResult&nodename=gridit-ce-001.cnaf.infn.it&vo=ops&testname=CE-sft-caver&testtimestamp=1199333955
https://lcg-sam.cern.ch:8443/sam/sam.py?funct=TestResult&nodename=ce301.intercol.edu&vo=ops&testname=CE-sft-caver&testtimestamp=1199334276
It seems that on our SL4 WNs that have done yum updates last night, the
following RPM has introduced a problem on the "rpm" command output:
tail -1 /var/log/yum.log
Jan 03 04:55:56 Updated: jpackage-utils.noarch 1.7.4-1jpp
rpm -q lcg-CA
error: Macro % has illegal name (%define) <<<< !!! (stderr)
lcg-CA-1.18-1
The failure is due to how the SAM test
same/client/sensors/testjob/tests/CE-sft-caver
process the results of the rpm command that checks the CA release.
A Savannah bug has been opened:
https://savannah.cern.ch/bugs/index.php?32434
Meanwhile, we have solved the problem rolling back jpackage-utils to the
previous release:
jpackage-utils-1.7.3-1jpp.1.el4
We have noticed also that the 1.7.4 release comes from the
jpackage.repo, while on the SL4 and SLC4 repos there is still the 1.7.3
available.
