Dear colleagues,
The International Boundaries Research Unit is pleased to announce its
training workshop programme for 2008.
IBRU's workshops provide instruction and advice on practical aspects of
boundary-making, management and dispute resolution. They are aimed
primarily at government officials and boundary practitioners but
scholars have also found them to be of value in their work.
Three workshops will be held in Durham in the coming year:
- Negotiating International Boundaries, 7-9 April
- River Boundaries: Practicalities and Solutions, 7-9 July
- Strategies and Tools for Effective Border Management, 15-17 September
Details of all three workshops are available online at
http://www.dur.ac.uk/ibru/workshops. If you are interested in attending
any of the workshops, please contact [log in to unmask] or use the
online booking form at http://www.dur.ac.uk/ibru/workshops/booking.
Since places are limited and the workshops usually sell out, it is
advisable to register your interest as early as possible.
The workshops are also discussed in IBRU's annual newsletter
Borderlines, which has just been published. If you are on IBRU's mailing
list, you should receive the newsletter in the next couple of weeks. It
is also available online at
www.dur.ac.uk/resources/ibru/resources/borderlines/borderlines7.pdf.
Best wishes,
m a r t i n
