dear Forumers,
If you didn't know already our close associate and friend, Aubrey Meyer, was
highlighted among a Guardian selected '50 people who could save the planet'
in their Weekend magazine this last Saturday, January 5.
Whatever you think of 'lists' of this sort (and indeed this one has some
incredibly deserving names but also some rather dubious ones) it's high time
(and one might add extremely overdue) to see Aubrey - and hence Contraction
and Convergence - up there in a position of prominence and one of a handful
with a full-page spread.
Well done Aubrey, all power to your elbow (!) and may C and C finally break
through (not before time) in 2008.

ps and just in case you didn't know: Aubrey's close argument for
Contraction and Convergence is to be found in his chapter in David Cromwell
and Mark Levene, eds. Surviving Climate Change, The Struggle to Avert Global
Catastrophe (Pluto Press, 2007).
